2005 Grant Awards

Through the 2004 Walk for a Cure, the GIST Cancer Research Fund was able to raise approximately $110,000 for GIST research. In spring of 2005, Tania and Robert Stutman travelled to four leading GIST cancer research institutions to present grant money from the walk that will go directly to fund various GIST research missions. March 15th, 2005 - GCRF presented a research grant of $25,000 to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; read about it, and pictures, here.

April 6th: GCRF presented a research grant of $25,000 to Dana Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) with Dr. Demetri. Pictures of presentation here.

April 12th: GCRF presented a research grant of $25,000 to to the Fox Chase Cancer Center (FCCC) with Dr Von Mehren and Dr Godwin; read about it, and pictures, here.
